CU

EASA Transition

Hi all;

Some notices from your trusty, reliable Equipment Officer;

The Certificate of Airworthiness of our Ka8, CU, has now expired. She is out of action and cannot be flown until her annual inspection is completed and the paperwork has been checked by the authorities. The inspection will hopefully be done in the next couple of weeks. I will post again when the certificate has been issued and she is flying again.

With the soaring season coming at us like an ASH25 full of water, please also note the following as regards equipment;

CU has rigging notes, but rigging is NOT PERMITTED unless you have been cleared to rig her. If you want to get cleared, speak to myself, Kate Woods or Peter Buchlovsky.

CU's trailer is in need of some TLC and presently is out of action except for storage and slow towing around the airfield. This is currently being sorted out.

Loggers and our GPS system are kept on the bottom shelf of the battery-charging cupboard in the small briefing room (Office building). All CUGC-members are, of course, welcome to use them but PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE RETURNED AT THE END OF THE DAY. Should you need a trace downloading for a claim, speak to an OO (Official Observer, if you don't know who has a rating, ask) on the day of your flight. If it cannot be downloaded there and then, leave it with a note saying it needs to be downloaded and contact me about it. I'll sort it out.

That is everything for now. Summer's coming, get ready for it everyone!

CU Rigging Notes

Kate wrote some (de)rigging notes to point people in the right direction when rigging and de-rigging her. Please do not attempt to rig or de-rig CU unless you have been given the green light by SomeoneImportant(tm) and are 100% confident you know what you are doing!
